The purpose of this position is to ensure production continuity by maintaining machines, equipment, and facilities in compliance with health and safety regulations and in accordance with company standards and procedures. The Technician reports to the Technical Manager.

 

The role of Technician is based on the following activities:

HSE STANDARDS:

• Follows safety rules according to the company policies and regulations.

• Maintains order, organization and cleanliness in all assigned areas, working in line with correct workplace hygiene practices with the aim to be an example to others.
   

MAINTENANCE:

• Performs preventive maintenance on machines, moulds and equipment following maintenance plans.

• Carries out regular inspections on machines, equipment, utilities, and ancillaries, checking relevant parameters and meter readings.

• Detects and replaces worn-out parts, timely submits requests for necessary spare parts or supplier’s technical support to the Technical Manager. Carries out repairs and fabricates mechanical and other parts using workshop tools and equipment.
   

MACHINE HANDLING:

• Offers support during electromechanical installation and setup of machines and equipment.

• Finds solutions to production /processing or technical issues to improve equipment performance.

• Performs full mold changes and set-up.

• Closely cooperates with quality and production to solve technical issues affecting the finished product.
   

WORKSHOP MANAGEMENT:

• Keeps track of spare parts present in the warehouse and informs the technical manager accordingly. Records maintenance interventions to track equipment and spare parts lifecycle.
   

COMMUNICATION and COOPERATION:

• Supports technical staff to solve minor technical problems affecting the quality of the product and production process, focusing on the relationship between specific elements and the desired result.

• Promotes effective communication between team and Manager.

• Interacts with different business functions to drive high performance culture.
   

Technical Skills:

• Excellent applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and/or electronic systems

• Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM)

• Good applied knowledge of WCM standards

• Basic knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment rules and practices

• Ability to operate manual and electric forklifts
   

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the maintenance department in a manufacturing company
